About the role
As a Creative Director at Engage, you’ll shape bold ideas and turn strategic intent into creative work that truly lands. This is a senior freelance role for someone who can think big, lead confidently, and still roll up their sleeves to make sure great ideas are delivered with precision and impact.
You’ll work closely with our Account Directors and project teams, leading writers, designers and specialist partners to ensure every campaign, toolkit or activation is inspiring, on brand, on brief and on time.
What you’ll be doing
Creative direction & delivery
- Lead big-picture ideation and set the creative vision across projects.
- Develop creative concepts from initial thinking through to execution.
- Translate client objectives into compelling campaigns, toolkits and experiences.
- Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary creative teams (permanent and freelance).
- Review creative work and provide clear, constructive feedback that raises the bar.
- Confidently present ideas, concepts and campaign strategies to clients.
Project coordination & oversight
- Balance creativity with strong organisation to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Clarify priorities and focus effort where it delivers the greatest impact.
- Manage multiple projects at once without compromising quality.
- Partner with Client Services to deliver work on time, on brief and within budget.
- Uphold brand, tone of voice and quality standards across all creative output.
What we’re looking for
Essentials
- Based in Dubai and available for freelance, project-based work.
- A valid UAE trade licence or spousal visa.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Creative Director or senior creative within an agency, communications or related environment.
- Proven ability to combine creative leadership with hands-on coordination.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- Fluency in Arabic.
